SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, Calif./PRNewswire/ -- Genome Medical announced today several industry events at which its executive leaders will present on the current clinical application of genomics and how Genome Medical is actively working to integrate genomic medicine as a seamless part of everyday care delivery.
Of note, Lisa Alderson, co-founder and CEO of Genome Medical, will speak at the Web Summit HealthConf this November in Lisbon, Portugal. As a veteran entrepreneur in genomics, Alderson will speak about "DNAbling a new health era" in a fireside chat moderated by Ananya Chadha, who at 16 is the youngest Brain Computer Interface developer in the world and who is now working on gene editing and blockchain projects. The Web Summit, deemed the largest technology conference in the world, exists to connect the technology community with various other industries sharing a common mission to advance innovation globally. Web Summit's HealthConf is a separate track dedicated to discussing key topics at the frontier of human health.
Alderson will also speak at Precision Medicine Leaders' Summit on Nov. 29-30 in Houston. She will participate in a panel discussion titled Innovation in Genomic Medicine Implementation that will explore various aspects on the genomics landscape including practical ways that clinicians can integrate genomics into their practices.

Details: Lisa Alderson will deliver a talk entitled Bringing Genomics to a Billion People and participate with other women leaders in the genetics industry on a panel to discuss the genetic testing landscape and what it means for both consumers and the industry as a whole.

Details: Steven Bleyl, MD, PhD, Chief Medical Officer, will participate in a half-day educational program on Thursday, Oct. 25, aimed at informing primary care physicians about clinical genetics, indications for genetic testing and the importance of integrating genetic services into their practices to benefit patient care.
Date: Oct. 28-30
Details: Erynn Gordon, MS, LCGC, Vice President of Clinical Operations, will lead an employer and broker workshop tentatively titled Know your Genome on Monday, Oct. 29. Gordon will also be presenting on the topic of pharmacogenomics in the session PGx: The New Kid on the Block in Reducing Costs in High Risk Populations.
